PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors for the week ending Sunday, April 16.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kacie Oshiro • Sr. • OF • East Carolina
Oshiro went 6-for-10 at the plate in four games during the week with four runs scored, three walks, a double, a home run, a .692 on base mark and 1.000 slugging percentage. The senior extended her streak of games reaching base safely to 13 and racked up two hits, two runs scored and a RBI in a 4-0 series-opening victory over UConn.

Emily Watson • Jr. • P • Tulsa
Watson struck out 25 batters with a 0.51 ERA in 13.2 innings of work, including a career-high and program-best 21 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Houston in 10 innings. Watson's 21-strikeout performance was the second-most by a pitcher in Division I this season. Watson picked up two saves while forcing a game-ending double play with the bases loaded in Game 3 against Houston. She won her 20th game of the season and moved into fifth on Tulsa’s all-time strikeout list with 494.

White recorded seven strikeouts in three appearances and scored a victory in the series-winning game against in-state rival USF.
Carli Cutler • Fr. • P • UConn
Cutler hit .500 this week, including 5-for-8 in the series at East Carolina. The freshman has a three game hitting streak and is the team leader with a .340 overall batting average.
Lydia Ritchie • Sr. • P • East Carolina
Ritchie compiled a 4-0 record with a 0.56 earned run average and 21 strikeouts against just three walks in 25 innings pitched.
Lindsay Crowdus • Jr. • OF • Memphis
Crowdus went 3-for-3 against No. 22/25 Ole Miss, with three hits and a .496 batting average. The junior had one stolen base, a 1.000 slugging percentage and a 1.000 on-base percentage.
Tori Stafford • So. • IF • Tulsa
Stafford hit .385 with three RBIs while slugging .462 as Tulsa went 3-1 last week. The sophomore had two hits in Tulsa’s 10-inning win over Houston, including the walk-off hit.
