USF’s Cronkrite, UCF’s Davis, Temple’s Wright Earn Weekly Football Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the sixth week of the college football season.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jordan Cronkrite • USF • Jr. • RB • Miami, Fla.
Cronkrite set the American Athletic Conference single-game rushing record, as well as USF’s team record, with a 302-yard, three-touchdown performance in the Bulls’ 58-42 win at Massachusetts. Cronkrite had touchdown runs of 77, 30 and 76 yards, all in the third quarter, to help USF break open what had been a six-point halftime lead. Cronkrite increased his season rushing average to 151.5 yards per game, good for third nationally.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Titus Davis • UCF • Sr. • DE • Atlanta, Ga.
Davis led a defensive effort that held SMU to 83 rushing yards in the Knights’ 48-20 win. Davis finished with six tackles, a sack, 3.0 tackles for loss and a forced fumble to help the Knights to their conference-record 18th straight victory. Davis has 20 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks this season.
 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Isaiah Wright • Temple • Jr. • WR • West Hartford, Conn.
Wright finished with 192 all-purpose yards, including 129 yards on five punt returns, to help Temple to a 49-6 win against ECU. Wright had a 59-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter, giving Temple its sixth non-offensive touchdown of the season. Wright also had a 27-yard kickoff return and added a 19-yard touchdown reception.
 
HONOR ROLL
Adrian Killins • UCF • Jr. • RB
Rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in a 48-20 win against SMU.
 
Michael Warren II • Cincinnati • So. • RB
Rushed for 123 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown, in a 37-21 win against Tulane.
 
Ed Oliver • Houston • Jr. • DT
Had a game-high 13 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss in a 41-26 win against Tulsa.
 
Darrell Henderson • Memphis • Jr. • RB
Rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries in a 55-14 win against UConn.
 
Anthony Russo • Temple • So. • QB
Completed 21 of 25 passes for 254 yards and four touchdowns with one interception in a 49-6 win against ECU.
