USF 2, UCF 1
Georgina Corrick retired 15 straight batters to open the Bulls 2-1 win over UCF on Sunday afternoon, while Samantha Worrell hit two-run double in the first inning for the go-ahead run. USF got a hot start with a pair of singles by Lindsey Devitt and Astin Donovan which set up for Worrell to smash a double to left field to give the Bulls (34-19, 12-6) what they needed to edge the Knights (31-21, 9-9). Corrick earned her 16th win of the season, giving USF the series win over UCF. She had five strikeouts and didn't allow a single walk through seven innings in her ninth complete game of the season. Corrick also saw the other side of a pitch for the first time in her collegiate career with her first at-bat. She had two plate appearances, drawing a walk in the second. For UCF, Denali Schappacher went 1-for-3 and drove in the lone run, while Cassady Brewer picked up a hit improving her on-base streak to 19 games. Erin Emanuel and Aubrey Johnson each collected a hit for the Knights in the loss.

Wichita State 5, ECU 1
Wichita State scored three runs in the first inning and held ECU at bay down the stretch, winning the teams' American Athletic Conference series rubber game 5-1 on Sunday. The Shocker bats came out hot with four base hits in the first inning. Wichita State plated three runs in the first inning to take control and never looked back, thanks to RBI singles from Ryleigh Buck and Bailee Nickerson, along with a sacrifice fly from Madison Perrigan. After ECU notched a run in the second on Karlie Smith’s RBI single, the score remained the same until the sixth when Perrigan connected on a two-run homer.

Tulsa 5, Memphis 2
Emily Watson struck out 10 and Rylie Spell hit her seventh home run of the season as Tulsa took the series finale at Memphis, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at Tigers Softball Complex. Julia Hollingsworth also homered for the Golden Hurricane (28-22, 8-10), who played its final road game of the regular-season. In addition, Shelby Estocado and Mikayla Whitten each recorded a pair of hits to help fuel the offense. For Watson, she recorded at least 10 strikeouts for the 11th time during the campaign. The senior allowed a pair of runs on six hits and improved to 18-11 in the circle. Meanwhile, Brooke Lee hit her seventh homer of the season to lead the Tigers (36-17, 10-8).

Hollingsworth wasted no time in putting the Hurricane on the board as she led off the game with her home run to center field. The blast was the second of the season for the junior and TU again used the long-ball an inning later to push the lead to 3-0. Shannon Hughes legged-out an infield single before Spell's booming two-run homer to left extended the cushion. The lead went to 4-0 with the help of a Memphis error in the top of the fourth as Whitten drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. The Tigers would break up the shutout in the bottom of the inning and slice the TU lead in half when Lee opened the inning with a homer before Kyler Trosclair's single up the middle scored a run to make it 4-2. But that would be as close as the Tigers would get and the Hurricane would get one of those runs back in the top of the fifth when Sarah Briers grounded out and pushed a run across for a 5-2 advantage.

Houston 4, UConn 0
Houston shutout UConn, 4-0, to win its American Athletic Conference series finale, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at Burrill Family Field. In the circle, Savannah Heebner tossed a three-hitter to improve 22-8. Heebner walked none and struck out 10 for her 11th shutout of the season. Her 22 wins and 11 shutouts break her tie with Amanda Crabtree (2011) in both categories for the third all-time at Houston in a single season. Overall, the victory marked the 46th of Heebner’s career, a mark which ranks fifth all-time in program history. Sarah Queen and Heebner each collected hits, respectively. Queen finished with two RBI, while Heebner had one walk and run scored. Junior catcher Brooke Vannoy made her 101st-consecutive start behind the plate dating back to Houston’s 7-3 win over Boston College on Feb. 12, 2017, at Cougar Softball Stadium.
