PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball honors, for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 10.
Player of the Week
Napheesa Collier * Sr. * F * UConn
Collier collected her league-best third Player of the Week nod after averaging 25.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 blocks per game while connecting on 84.6 percent from the field in two wins. Against ECU on Wednesday, she registered 21 points in just 21 minutes, shooting a perfect 10-for-10 from the field while adding four boards, three assists and three blocks. Collier then turned in a season-best 30-point, 14-rebound performance against Temple on Saturday, shooting 12-of-16 with six assists and three blocks. The senior ranks second in The American with 19.3 points per game and leads the conference with 9.9 rebounds per game.
Freshman of the Week
Marissa Mackins * Fr. * G * Temple
Mackins averaged 12.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in a 1-1 week for Temple, including a win over Houston. Against the Cougars, she tabulated 14 points including three 3-pointers while dishing out four assists. She was then one of five Owls to reach double-figures against UConn, finishing with 11 points, two rebounds and three assists. So far on the season, Mackins ranks third on the Temple roster with 7.5 points per game.

Kay Kay Wright * Jr. * G * UCF
Registered her 10th 20-plus point performance of the season in UCF’s lone game of the week, finishing with 20 points, a season-high nine assists, two steals and five rebounds against SMU
Antoinette Miller * Jr. * G * Cincinnati
Scored a career-high 23 points on 8-of-12 (66.7 percent) shooting, pulling down four rebounds with three assists and two steals in the Bearcats’ 82-54 win over Wichita State on Sunday
Lashonda Monk * So. * G * ECU
Averaged 17 points, 4.5 steals and 2.5 assists in ECU’s 1-1 week; scored 12 points against UConn on Wednesday and totaled 22 points (including 15-of-16 from the foul line), four rebounds and eight steals against Memphis on Saturday
Mia Davis * So. * F * Temple
Posted a 33-point, 17-rebound double-double in Temple’s 76-65 win over Houston on Tuesday, hitting a career-high in points and tying her career mark in boards; led the Owls with 20 points and nine rebounds at UConn on Saturday
Crystal Polk * Sr. * F * Tulsa
Averaged 14.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in a 2-0 week for the Golden Hurricane; posted a 20-point, 14-rebound double-double on Sunday against Tulane, converting on 8-of-16 from the field
