Ronbeck, Hall, Lowell and Laprise Collect Final Weekly Accolades

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s final weekly women’s lacrosse honors, for the week ending Monday, April 29.
 
Attacker of the Week
Lindsey Ronbeck * Sr. * Florida

Ronbeck posted another record-breaking performance to close the regular season, setting a new Gator single-game record with nine goals against Cincinnati. That total gave the senior her 13th hat trick in 17 contests on the season and propelled Florida to its ninth-consecutive conference regular season title. Ronbeck added four draw controls and a ground ball, with four of her goals coming on the free-position as the Gators cruised to a 25-6 win over the Bearcats. Heading into the American Championship, Ronbeck needs just four points to reach 300 for her career.
 
Midfielder of the Week
Madi Hall * Sr. * Florida
Hall had a career outing on her Senior Day at Dizney Stadium, totaling a career-high six points in Florida’s 25-6 win over Cincinnati. She scored three goals and dished out a career-high three assists, while collecting four ground balls and causing a turnover. The Gators earned the 2019 American Athletic Conference regular season title with the win and will be the top seed in this week’s conference tournament.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Maryn Lowell * Jr. * GK * Temple

Lowell was Temple’s mainstay as the Owls earned the No. 3 seed for the conference championship on Saturday, defeating Vanderbilt 11-6 on the road. The junior made a season-high 15 saves, including nine in the second half to keep Temple in front for the duration. Lowell posted a 0.714 save percentage against The American’s highest scoring offense in the Commodores.
 
Freshman of the Week
Lia LaPrise * M * UConn

LaPrise capped her strong freshman season with a team-high five points for UConn as the Huskies defeated ECU 17-7 on Saturday. She scored four goals and added an assist, converting on her sole free-position attempt, and collected a ground ball. LaPrise finishes the season ranked second on the Huskies’ roster in scoring with 37 points on 20 goals and 17 assists.

Hit the 100-career point milestone with 13 points in two games, including seven goals and four assists for 11 points against Stetson – a single-game conference record; for the week, totaled five draw controls, five ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 17-10 win over the Hatters and a loss at Florida
 
Jen Rodzewich * So. * M * Temple
Led Temple with three goals and two assists for five points in the Owls’ 11-6 win at Vanderbilt; scored on three of her four shots while adding three ground balls and a caused turnover
 
Melanie Becker * Sr. * M * Vanderbilt
Scored a pair of goals for the Commodores on Senior Day, converting on her lone free-position attempt; collected four draws and two ground balls on the day
